March 10 - 15: CDRI Annual Cactus & Succulent Festival www.cdri.org

March 19: SACXS Monthly Meeting. Program will be: Linda Draper & Barbara Schultz. Linda will present a short slideshow of her visit to Wallace Cactus Garden in Scottsdale, Arizona and Barbara will bring the club up to date on the SACXS Annual Show & Sale.

March 22 & 23: San Antonio Garden Center Annual Spring Plant Sale. 9-4 both days. Admission is free. Located at the garden center down the hill from the botanical gardens. San Antonio Garden Center Annual Plant Sale

April 5 & 6: Austin CSS Spring Show & Sale - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Austin Area Garden Center at Zilker Botanical Garden.

April 24, 25, 26: San Antonio Cactus & Xerophyte Society Annual Show & Sale. 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM daily. This is a State Non-Juried Show. Rare Plant Auction on Friday and Saturday @ 2 PM. Admission is free.

May:

May x: San Antonio Garden Center General Meeting and Luncheon held at the San Antonio Garden Center

May xx: Kerr County Cactus & Succulent Society Annual Sale.

Located across the river from downtown Kerrville inside River Hills Mall. Weekend of Mothers Day. Map Click Here 9 AM- 5 PM. Open to the public.

May 18: SACXS Monthly Meeting. Program will be: Landscaping in Deer Country. Jimmy Black will give a presentation on his experiences with landscaping in deer country. The meeting date was changed to Sunday the 18th to avoid rush hour traffic on a Wednesday night. Food will be provided by the club and hosts. Please bring a hat and folding chair if you wish, and bug spray. The Blacks have a swimming pool, poolside bathroom, plenty of tables and chairs and shade and will have plants available for purchase.

June:

June 18: SACXS Monthly Meeting. Program will be: Xeriscaping Explained. Marty Ruona, Master Gardener, has decades of experience transforming local landscapes from traditional to water-wise. He will explain the ins and outs of xeric gardening in San Antonio and share a slide show of some of these amazing transformations from start to finish. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

July:

July 16: Monthly Meeting. Program will be: Why landscape with Cactus & Succulents? Our speaker will be Claude Townsend. This program is designed to show you what will grow in your landscape with VERY little water. How to plant and protect them from the cold and to add an element of contrast in your yard. This a slide show presentation with a chance for you to ask questions.

October 01: TACSS Bi-annual meeting. Sponsored by the Kerr County Cactus & Succulent society, In Kerrville, TX.

October 15: SACXS Monthly Meeting. Program will be: Fertilizers Explained. Moderated by Mark Fanick, of Fanick's Garden Center and Nursery. The meeting will be held at Marty Ruona’s home located at 151 Huxley Drive, 78218.

October 26: SACXS Annual Picnic and Propagation Clinic. The picnic and meeting will be held at Paul's Desert located at 200 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, TX 78154.

November 19: SACXS Monthly Meeting. Program will be: What's Wrong with my Plant? SACXS members are encouraged to bring plants, or photos of plants, which they just don't know what's wrong with them to have problems identified and solutions discussed.
